What advantage is there in photographing the walls after electrical and plumbing lines are installed but before closing them?

Once pipes and conduits are hidden behind plaster or tiles, your memory of exactly where they run fades fast. Years later, when you want to drill for a new shelf, hack a niche, or fix a leak, you’re guessing. That guess can easily hit a pipe or cable.

Taking clear photos of each wall—straight on, and maybe with rough measurements noted—creates a visual map of the “inside” of your house. Store them in a folder labelled by room.

Later, you or any professional can refer back before drilling or cutting. It reduces the risk of accidental damage and speeds up troubleshooting if there’s a problem. It’s like having X-ray vision for your own walls, using nothing more than your phone at the right stage.
